Europeans is the people that is from Europe and live in Europe. Colonize is taking of one group by another. Africa is a continent. Why would they colonize? I think colonizing is a smart thing for a group to do.

Europeans were living in a time period where they was fighting one another for land. Also resources, mililtary rule, and etc. They colonize africa because they wanted to make a profit and to be known as a superior nation. They was going through it. So they colonize Africa.

Africa suffered political life, economic life, debt, shortage of resources (gold, rubber, and etc). Some parts still do. It affected there clans. Also there religion, culture, and heritage.

The Europeans colonize the continent of Africa because of the abundance of resources. Which mean that The Europeans did not no about the natural resources in Africa, but then they found out about it they come and take over the place. To put what the Europeans did in to two sentences. They( Europeans exploited the land and the people for their own ends. BUT later the Europeans believe that Africa needed to be governed and raised in they own image. But you got to think about it , mostly the hole world was ruled by the Europeans.

Well the colonization affect the old civilizations, tradition and societies of per-colonial Africa in a big way. Like if you was African, then when the Europeans started to colonize . Your way of life was over, because you was under the control of the Europeans . And of course the Europeans was going to take advance of the Africans. Then The Europeans started to dig mines, starting plantations( where the Africans where as slave) and building factories and ports. The hired Africans at low wages and imposed taxes that had to be paid in cash.

Well as you can The Europeans did a lot of things to The Africa people. But I guess with they did to the Africa is best known , because the Europeans colonize The continent of Africa last . Some people asks why did they Colonize them last is was, because the Great Rift Valley. Well just to get you a little bit of info about the Europeans.

Around the 1800’s the Europeans’ ruled nearly the entire world. The Europeans’ were starting to build empires all around the world. The reason for doing so is because the European’s wanted power, and they were competitive. Another reason why the Europeans’ wanted to control Africa is because they wanted to have demand on raw materials and wanted to expand markets. The last reason why the Europeans’ wanted to colonize in Africa is because the Europeans’ believed that they were culturally superior. Since the Europeans thought they were superior they wanted to spread their religion.

The Europeans affected the colonization’s of Africa in many ways. One way the Europeans’ affected the Africans was religion. When the Europeans came to Africa they changed the different types of religions. They also caused imperialism. Imperialism another country takes over another country and has control over economic and social life.

The last way the Europeans’ affected the Africans’ was in economics. The Europeans started bringing their leaders from Europe into Africa. They were controlling the Africans’ and their goods. The Europeans affected Africans culture majorly. The Europeans had a lot of power on Africa.

The Europeans colonized Africa. But what started it was the explorations of Scottish doctor, Livingstone and British journalist, Stanley. The colonization helped Africa. With so many Europeans countries fighting for Africa, Africa had good income. Then Europeans had most of the control in Africa.

David Livingstone was the first explorer man to go to Africa in 1840. He was there for the next 30 years. Later on, Europeans lost touch with Livingstone so they hired a British journalist named Henry M. Stanley. Livingstone and Stanley created publicity for Africa. Then the Europeans got interested in Africa when according to the reports of the explorer and journalist, Africa had abundance of resources.

Then country after country wanted to colonize Africa. The colonization did affect Africa in an economic way. With this, there were mine digging, plantations started, and the building of new factories. This means that with the outcome the Europe made, there was some money or income too. By 1914, Europeans nations had controlled 90% of Africa.

Why the Europeans colonized the continent of Africa is because when Europeans temporarily lost touch with Livingstone late in the 1860s. The publicity surrounding the explorations of Livingstone and Stanley generated new interest in Africa throughout Europe. This interest swelled when subsequent explorers sent back excited reports about the continents abundance of resources. So when the Europeans were sent to scramble Africa by 1914 Europeans nation controlled 90 percent of the continent.

How the colonization affected the old civilizations, traditions, and societies of pre-colonial Africa. Is because when that happened it took a lot of believes from people in Africa. They had to do things different ways for what a certain empire says. “I believe in standing up for what is right”. When there are no rights there is no justice.

In conclusion I believe that it changed how the people of Africa wanted to live. In a way colonization was disrespect to African beliefs and back ground. “When you kill a person’s belief you’re killing their character. That means that you give someone or people a reason not to express their beliefs. And I think that colonialization is harsh in many ways.

Europeans were not poor back then, but they didnt have a lot also.Colonize means " to establish a colony in or on.So by the Europeans colonizing with the Africa, they were able to get more.Because they were like one with Africa. So whatever Africa got,the Europeans got.

For example,Eruopeans were losing land. They were not getting enough rescources. So they were lacking in a lot of areas. So colonizing with Africa was a good thing for them.To me that was a good thing to do.

The colonization to Africa made the African people change how they lived. They had to change around family, friends, and their land became shared by others. So in the beginning it was really rough. It took them time to get use to everything that was happening. So that really affected them.

Europeans colonized and infiltrated African civilizations in order to make a profit and to be known as a superior nation. By doing this, European colonists messed up the traditional African lifestyle. Africans were willing to let the colonists join them, but the Europeans went too far when they took over governments and tried to rule over the Africans. This colonization led to many problems in Africa, that still affect modern day Africa.

First of all, the problem can only be explained about where the colonists were located. According to the European Colonization map, it shows that France and Great Britain ruled most of the Northern Part of Africa.

France and Great Britain ruled other parts of Africa in the South, but not nearly as much as up North. Meanwhile, Germany Portugal, and Belgium ruled most of the Southern part of Africa.

The reason why Europeans wanted to colonize Africa was because they wanted their Natural recourses like Rubber, Copper, and gold that came from Africa. Europeans also wanted the cotton and jute form India and tin from Asia in southeast Asia. The Europeans wanted to make their markets increase in profit and they could get new material from Africa. Another reason why Europeans wanted to colonize Africa is to make more Empires and they had about 90% of Africa on their feet, this all began with the reports of a Scottish Doctor named David LivingStone when he went to explorer in Africa for about 30 years. After losing touch with him the Europeans found him again and were amused by the reports they got back, about “the continents abundance of recourses.” That’s why they colonized south Africa.

The Africans were affected by the colonization of Europeans, old civilizations, tradition and societies of pre-colonial Africa because. The Europeans had control over the Africans life by knocking down their huts and farms when ever they wanted to and they had no rights or laws. The Africans were being brutally treated by Europeans by giving them harsh discipline. The school set up by Europeans taught Africans that Europeans ways were the best and that they were dominant. The Africans Traditions decreased when they had to believe in the religion of Christianity. Imperialism had also affected them by having control over their economic and social life.

Lastly I would like to say that colonizing a country shows that you have power in a brutal way. The Europeans had complete control over the Africans and they couldn’t do anything about. The Europeans are smart because since they had a war with Algeria which they lost to them and they are the only independent State in western African, the Europeans could go back with more heavy weapons. When you have power you can have complete control of anything which could be used in a bad or good situation which in this case that the Europeans used their power to make Africans think that they are better than them in many different level which is really messed up.

To colonize something means the taking of one group by another. So if its going to be taken then no one can do anything especially if it was getting divided it was a better chance. I say that cause then Europe was going to have a better dominancy over us.

This all goes back to Imperialism. Which is ones country domination? So if the dominant people are the Europeans. What can you do when you have more power and more forces over you?

The way it was affected I would say the tribe now was going to be messed up... Like the movement, the civilization, the religion, the tradition, and all the other things were messed up because now they had to leave and now start all over again and try to build from what they have now. I also say that because now it was more congested because now they had to go to other tribes.

I say that because some of the tribes didn’t get along with other tribes. So if now they had to go to the tribes what were they going to do now just sit there probably.

Now another reason why they colonized I would say that it was because the certain recourses Africa and the U.S had. Africa was starting to build empires all around the world. That’s why Europe wanted a Partition. So that they can divide things. Such as like when they did it with prize king Leopand The 2nd of Belgium.

I would also say that by them colonizing things it all had something to do with jealousy I think. I say this because Africa and the U.S had more and better things than Europe couldn’t get or have. So they wanted to colonize us so that they could get a better chance at getting more things with things divided into smaller groups.

The Europeans colonize the cowent of Africa by talking their resources were unknown until the Europeans discovered it and took over its land. Another reason is because the Europeans thought they were superior and they was willing to spread their religion.

David Livingstone was the first explorer man to go to Africa in 1840. He was there for 30 years. The Europeans didn't hear from him every again. So they sent Henery M. Stanley( British Journalist) over there.

Africa had political life, economic life, debt problems. Still to this very day they still do. The Europeans and their leaders came to Africa and just took over from there. They had power over Africa and the Africans didn't known what to do.

The publicity surrounding the explorations of Livingstone and Stanley generated new interest in Africa throughout Europe. This interest swelled when subsequent explorers sent back excited reports about the continent's abundance of resources. Reports such as these helped set off a mad European scramble for Africa between 1880 and 1914.

Imperial nations gained new lands through treaties, purchases, and military conquuest. Once in power, they used several forms of territorial control. A colony was a territory that an imperial power ruled directly through colonial officials. A protectorate had its own government, but its policies were guided by a foreign power.

Within these general forms of control, each imperial nation exercised its power differently. The French used their colonial officials to govern, to spread French culture, and to make territories overseas extensions of France. The British, by contrast, focused strictly on administration and were less apt to convert colonial peoples to British ways.

Europeans wanted to colonize africa and exploited the land and the people for their own needs. They believed that Africans needed to be governed and act the way they wanted them to act.Religious fervor and feelings of racial and cultural superiority inspired Europeans to impose thei culture on distant lands. The quest for colonis became a continuing enteprise that seemed to have no limits. Europeans believed that Western civilization was superior to thr civilization of colonial peoples.

Most colonial officials tried to impose their traditions and customs on the people they conquared. They didnt allow colonial people to practice their traditional customs and ritual. The officials wanted the colonial people to learn european languages and to live a Western lifestyle. Some europeans looked to the theory of social Darwinism as proof of their cultural superiority. He used his theory to explain the differences amongst human beings. which was the survival of the fittest.

The Europeans built several empires and wanted to colonize Africa because they wanted power. The Europeans wanted their markets to have more products. So what they would do is go and take things from Africa. They wanted their raw materials, land, trades, spreading Christianity and supply of labor. The Europeans wanted the different tribes and natural resources which led up to them taking over Africa.

This has affected the old civilizations, tradition and societies of pre-colonial Africa because they were taking to much away from them. They was taking their land, materials, and it also affected the clans. Another way it affected those things was because the Africans had no supplies. They had nothing to trade with and they could barely provide for theirselves. As one can see, Africa has been affected by europeans in many ways.

In conclusion, the Europeans took away many things from the africans and were very competitive. The Africans had much lost when the Europeans came and took over. They had much power over Africa and that affected their culture.

The Europeans wanted to colonize Africa. They felt the need to take over there civilization. They wanted to take there natural resources such as rubber, copper, and gold from there mines. There material where quite valuable.

Therefore the Europeans felt that they need to take over and make a profit off of there materials. The Africans where willing to let them in. butt they took advantaged of them and took over to much.

With the Europeans taking over, it has a big impact on Africa. They basically took way to much control. So much that it left the land holder, the African power less. Still today the culture is still effected.

I believe the mentioned that if a colony ‘s borders did not provide military security for instance military officials based in the colony used there very own armies to expand the colonies borders. To be stated later in the text it says “ this strategy worked well enough until colonial governments started claiming the same territories . Then new conflicts arose and Europeans troops found them selves facing off on remote battlefields in Africa and Asia.” They wanted to colonize Africa to make there own borders larger and soon take over .

Also to my understanding it changed up because of the religions became to change as the Europeans came to take over African wasn’t in fact ready to proceed with this new transition to catholic . In fact the missionaries weren’t some type of army in this case they were there to try to change peoples beliefs and practices . They seemed to to believed that in order to become civilized the people of Africa and Asia would have to reject there old religions and convert to Christianity . There environment was even changed when the missionaries built churches and taught Christian doctrine.

In conclusion Europeans went in with force and demand with a mission to take over Africa and make it there own. To colonize the continent of Africa and as they effect every thing by building churches to take over there religion also . Expanding there borders is what the Europeans ever wanted and they succeeded by taking advantage of Africa in my eyes .
Europeans once had started to begin the quest for colonies had became a continuing enterprise that has seemed to have no limits slow and difficult communication between remote territories . So the Europeans capital often enabled colonial governors and generals to take matters in their own hands . Its also

Europeans are a native or inhabitant of Europe. Colonize is to establish a colony in. Africa is the second-largest continent. Why did Europeans colonize Africa ? I believe they colonized africa for their natural resources in three way. First Demand for Raw Materials, second Need for Markets, and finally Commerce, Christianity, Civilization.

Everything they needed and wanted Africa had it. Europeans developed trading and produced goods. They believed that trade and commerce, along with introduction of Christianity, were key to development in Africa.

In conclusin, Europeans colonize Africa for their various movement.

Partition means to divide or split as into parts. King Leopold II was the king of Belgium. This Magnificent African Cake was what King Leopold called the partition. The Europeans had decided to colonize the continent of Africa. The colonization causing an effect on the old civilizations, traditions and societies of pre-colonial Africa.

The Europeans colonized the continent of Africa because they wanted to expand their empires for industrilization and to trade. Such as in 1877 Henry M. Stanley had reached the mouth of the Congo River. He had described the river as a grand highway of commerce to trade to Central Africa. To control their trade and costal holdings, European nations began to push inland.

The colonization affected the old civilizations, tradition, and societies of pre-colonial Africa. Europeans exploited the Africans' lack of political unity and began to conquest their lands in the late 1800's. For example, King Leopold II claimed the Congo Region as his own private plantation. He enslaved the people, had them cut down forest for rubber tree's, and kill elephant herds for the ivory from their tusks. So basically the colonization affected them because they were forced to work for the Europeans, with no recompense.

The colonization of the Europeans had affected the old civilizations. Traditions, and societies of pre-colonials. Since Europeans had exploited the Africans lack of knowledge. Of political unity so they had began to take control of the land of the Africans. This is how the civilazation, tradition, and societies were affected.

Europeans colonized he continent of Africa they showed the Africans their way of getting around and movement is better. In the text it says, “Europeans taught Africans that European ways were best. In some cases, Africans traditions declined, although most Africans held on to their cultures while accepting some European ways.” This means even though most Africans continued to believe in their culture most were affected by the Europeans point of view, which was the reason for the incretion of Christianity.

These effects varied from colony to colony, but they centered mainly on economic and social life. The imperialists profited from the colonies by digging mines, starting plantations, and building factories and ports. Then, in the mid-1800s, a few brace explorers began to venture into the African interior. Another way the colonization affected the old civilization, tradition and societies of pre-colonial Africa was through environment/human interaction. Before the Europeans went into play West, Central, and East Africa had a wide variety of landscapes. They use to have mountains, plains, deserts, and rain forests but things such as factories replaced it all.

The Europeans had a huge impact on human/environment interactions and locations. It began with one missionary therefore one event can change the any tradition and belief.
