1. Does the Trojan War bring the characteristics, through their individual experiences, of Troy (women and men) together or further apart and if so, why?
2. How does the story of Troy provide a feminist perspective on the age old story of the Trojan War? Are they empowered throughout the story and if so how? Feminism is the belief in women rights and equality against the odds of men.
3. In Troy, gods and goddesses meddle in the affairs of mortals. Would you characterize the meddling as benevolent, mischievous, or malevolent? City Specific examples in the story to support your characterizations.
4. How is the story of "Troy" an example of Geographic luck and preparation for European civilizations Dark Ages?
5. Discuss the backgrounds of Marpessa, Xanthe, and Alastor and provide an explanation of what the future holds for all three Characters based on their personalities as as well as what you know about European history? Assure that you stick to the social norms of Greek history (500BC) and what may happen if these three characters continue on the paths in which you provide for them. Use examples and quotes to support everything you state.
6. Based on the climatic events and twists in turns throughout the story of Troy, what positive and negative effects of industrialization can you see played a part in the overall outcome of the story?
