Cast away means to be sent to a far off place or simply away against ones own will.Okonkwo was very upset when he was sent away.He fell like it wasen't his fault.He was sent away for killing a kinsman.His gun went off by a mistake and it killed the 16 year old boy.
okonwko was sent awy for 7 years.He went to his moms home land which is Mbanta.Everyone was not happy to seee him.The only one to accept him was his uncle.His name was Uchendu.
Before he left he amde a big feast for everyone.He said that he was a changed man.He started to believe in his own chi or god and that's what changed him.He was a changed man because while being in Mbanta he became nicer.He was no longer judging people.

Cast away means to be simply sent away. Okonkwo was sent away for
doing something that he didnt mean to do. What he did was he killed a 16
year old boy in which he was taking care of at the time. He didnt mean to do it
it was an accident because his gun was fired off by accident. But they didnt care.
The problem was that he killed a kinsman so he was sen out of his village.
Okonkwo was sent away for 7 years. He was sent to his moms village
which was calles Mbanta. No one was very happy to see him because of the incident.
Because of that he didnt feel like he was accepted into his own mothers village.
Their was one person indeed who accepted him.That was his uncle Uchendu.
He had changed a lot when he leftthe village. He had learned many things
while he was their. Such as how to be nice and how to no longer judge people.
For them teaching him this he threw everyone a big feast before he left. The feast
was to show that he had a great time.

After being exiled from Umuofia,Okonkwo seeks refuge among his mother's kinsmen in Mbanta a neighboring village.He has to be away from Umuofia for seven years,but it was kind of messed up that the Umuofia's burned downn his home.After he leaves he feels kind of betrayed by his own son,it was his son's fault for his exile.
He is sort of the same violent person he was all the time.In the book his son Nwoye returned and entered his father's obi,then suddenly Okonkwo overcame with fury,sprang to his feet and gripped him by the neck.Okonkwo seized a heavy stick that lay on the dwarf wall and hit him two or three savage blows,but later was stopped by Okonkwo's uncle Uchenda.
In conlusion Oknkwo feels betrayed by his own flesh and blood,he is sort of the same person he once was and still is.Even if my son joins a new christainity I would be furious too if he would ever betray me,but I wouldn't beat him with a stick.

Cast away means to be sent to a far off place or simply away against ones own will.When you are casted away you may never be allowed back.Or you could be casted away for a period of time.Like Okonkwo was casted away.I think being casted away puts a toll on someone.
When Okonkwo was casted away he was really hurt at the time.He went to stay with his mom.His mother stayed in Mbanta.When he got there many people were not happy to see him there.Okonkwo was sent away for seven years.When he left he was upset.some of the warriors came to comfort him on his way off.
When getting ready to come back to Umoufia,i feel Okonkwo has changed.I feel this way because on his last night in Mbanta he had a big feast for the the people.He told them that he had changed.He begin to believe in his own Chi.Not only that,but he also began to believe in God.
So when Okonkwo left the people of Mbanta they had he believed him when he said he changed.Because he had proven to them that he was not the same Okonkwo that come seven years ago.I think Okonkwo reakky wanted to chang though.He didnt like the life he was living before he changed.So I think he was Happy how things were turning around in his life.

For killing a woman Okonkwo went through an exile. His exile lasted seven years. He was sent to his mother’s land Mbanta were he was well received by his uncle. Okonkwo felt bad for what he did. He knew that for being in exile, he lost his place in the head of the clan.
While being in exile, Okonkwo changed. He became a better person. I think he became more humble and less arrogant. Before he left, he had a feast in Mbanta. There he thanked all the people that were kind to him.

Basically to define Cast away in the story it means to be sent off or kick out far away and forbidden to come back. When Okonkwo was cast away he was depressed about having to leave the village. Also he felt like he shouldnt have been the one blamed since it wasn't his fault. He was kicked out the village for a bullet killing a kinsman of the village. Okonkwo's weapon had set off by accident and killed a sixteen year old boy of the village.
Further in the story Okonwko had been sent away and was not to return for seven years. Okonkwo had traveled to his mothers home land which is Mbanta. Everyone in Mbanta was not thrilled to see him. The only one to accept him for coming home was his uncle. Okonkwo's uncle name was Uchendu.
Moreover before he left Mbanta he created a big feast for everyone. He said that he was a changed man.He started to believe in his own chi and that's what changed him to become a new person. Okonkwo had cast away to his mother. Which I think is name Ekwefi. She had lived in Mbanta. When Okonkwo came, nobody was happy besides one. His uncle Uchendu.
Okonkwo had claim that he was a change man. Like what Shimei Hawkins, Do you believe that? For me it's 50-50 because Okonkwo might feel bad for every thing he did But remember we are talking about Okonkwo. He is really not the person to change.

Where okonkwo leaves his village he goes to a land that is unknown to him. It almost was as if okonkwo was starting his life over to him. Okonkwo had had to live there for seven years, and then he can come back to the clan. How okonkwo feels when he leaves is he feel lost in a way but bad. Okonkwo felt bad because it was a mistake for him to kill one of his members in his clan.
Also upon okonkwo’s exile I think that okonkwo stayed the same. I think that he stayed the same, because he still believed what he believed. He also did not want his son nwoye to change also. I also see that okonkwo stayed the same because when he found out that nwoye was going to be a Christian. Okonkwo was highly upset he actually waited for him to come home and chocked him.
In conclusion I also think that okonkwo did not change because of his village. He also believed that he cannot abandon his clan or village. Okonkwo also did not want to change his religion because that was important to him. Okonkwo also did not want to be told by the missionaries that his religion is wrong. So I would just say that okonkwo did not really change, but maybe gain stress.

It wasnt really his fault.
They sent him to his moms village for a couple of years. Many people was so unhappy to see him there. I dont think that was kind of fair because he was a very good man and just because he makes a mistake, you send him away?
Okonkwo was an exile but over time he had changed. Which was a good thing. There was nothing really to much worng with him but he couldve gotten better. I believe he did because as a child Okonkwo was not so hard to change. He saw many things in his childhood that made him want to be different.

Castaway means to be sent a far off place or simply against ones own will. Okonkwo lived in his motherland with his kinfolks for seven years. His motherland was called Mbanta. Okonkwo exile because his gun had went out during the funeral for Ezeudu, and killed Ezeudu’s sixteen old son. By killing the boy by mistake it was a female crime. So that meant Okonkwo could come back to his fatherland in seven years.
To me, I think that when okonkwo was castaway from his fatherland of Umuofia. He started to give up in a way. Because you got to put yourself in okonkwo’s shoes. To be castaway from his fatherland, and throw in his mother land with kinfolks he knows nothing about. Its upsetting. Then when the missionaries come things just started to fall apart. I mean okonkwo was broking down by the exile , the lost of his son Nwoye, it is to much for anybody.
When it was time for Okonkwo to go to his fatherland of Umuofia. Things had already started to change there too. It was to late for Okonkwo to caught up with his old life, because it was gone and it was no coming back.

Okonkwo goes to mbanta when he leaves his village and spends the rest of his exile there. He stays there for seven years with his mothers family in his motherland.Durring the funneral of one of the oldest men in the village and a great warrior Okonkwo pressed the trigger of his gun.Lead flew out and pierced the heart of a 16 year old boy. The boy was the son of the dea man who was dancing to say goodbye to hs father. Those who kil their clansmen are cast away.
Upon his exile he changed as a result of his expeirence. At first he didnt seem like the same person he's always been. He was depressed to know that he wouldnt gain all the great titles he wanted. Without that goal to drive him he soort of felt lost and also lost all hope. But, his uncle his mothers brother had a family meeting telling Oknonkwo he shouldn't be depressed. He also talked about all the things he and his family went through and managed to lift Okonkwos'spirts up.

Cast away means to be sent far off place or simply against ones own will. Okonkwo was very angry that he was sent away from his village and that he had to live with his mother. Okonkwo felt like it wasn’t his fault of killing his own clan member by mistake and now he has to run away for seven years. Okonkwo is now in a new village and feels insecure about where he lives now with his family, like if he was starting a new life again. Okonkwo is running away from his problem and I thought he was high and mighty to take responsibility for his actions.
I think that Okonkwo hasn’t really changed that much since he has been in the new village. I believe this because he is standing for what he believes in like the Igbo religion, he is being rebellious against all those Christians. He wants to save all the people that hasn’t already joined the Christian faith because he is angry that the Christians are taking his son Nowye. Okonkwo feels insecure about his chi because his son is turning down his villages gods and his ancestry, he feels very angry that his son back stabbed his religion and will try to stop the Christians from taking anymore people to their faith.
In Conclusion I think that Okonkwo didn’t change that much because he protects his religion and the village. Okonkwo is really angry at the words that come out the missionaries mouth about his gods. Okonkwo wants to stop the missionaries from spreading the word of god and will not give up on his religion or village. To be honest Okonkwo hasn’t really changed all he has build up is anger and hate toward the white men.

THERE being in that village he had went threw a lot of change and reflecting of threw his life.He had learned many things while he was there. there he learned to live in a different lifestyle and how he there became more humble about himself.. The word cast away means to be send far way like sent off or kicked out far away and can not come back . Its proven in the text that Okonkwo was cast away for something that wasn’t even his fault . He was kicked out his village for killing a sixteen year old boy but yet it was set off by accident . Okonkwo seemed to be in some type of emotional distress he believed it wasn’t his fault and he should have to leave .
A true fact that okonkwo was sent away but with that regulation and also he couldn’t return for seven years. To me he made a wise decision by going to his mothers home land in which is Mbanta. The people weren’t to excited to see him. The only person who in fact accept the poor man was his uncle which is name was Uchendu he accepted him for coming home .
Okonkwo did in fact change a lot when he had left the village. He began to learn lots of things while he was there such as being a nice person nor judge people . As it was time for him to go back to his main land before he left he in fact threw a big bash also known as a feast for the people of Mbanta I believe as a thank you.

When you cast away you disappear without anyone noticing or unexpectedly. You are leaving for a long time . Nobody will know you most of the time you are cast away. When you are Cast away you are mostly sent away for a very long time . It is most likely your gone or departed.
Okonkwo went through an exile for seven whole years. He went to another village called"Mbanta" where his mother lived. Okonkwo killed a little boy. He had to pay for what he had did. Okonkwo had to cast away to a place that he destaingfully didn't want to go to. He hated the fact that he had to be punished for killing the young boy.
During the exile Okonkwo made changes. After the several years of his exile Okonkwo lost the head of the clan. He had to do alot of different things when coming back to Umofia. He had to make 2 new huts for his two new wives and other things.

Cast away means to be sent to a far off place or simply away against ones own will. That basically means in my own words this means like jail in our country and "cast away" in their country. I say that because with jail you cant be with your friends/family etc. And its the same with "cast away" in their village. Cast away sounds worser than jail.
Where Okonkwo go when he left the village he goes to his moms house. His mother lived in Mbanta. Alot of the other people didnt want to see him there. Mainly because of what he did. Most of them were accidental. But he had to suffer the consquences though. And he did some accidental stuff back to back so. He had to deal with it. He leaves for 7 years I think. He feels like hes nothing because he going on "cast away" because of something accidental. But he has to own up and take responsiblity in his part.
I think Okonkwo has changed. I say that becuase at the feast in Mbanta the village people told him that he changed. Also, he knew before going away that he ruined his chances of becoming the clan I think. And since he went away for cast away he can't really sit in that position because of what he has done in his past to cause him to even go to "cast away". Like when you come out of jail, you cant really do anything because you was a convict and the jobs and stuff think that you may be a danger to their company.So thats why Okonkwo has changed.

Okonkwo seeks refuge among his mothers kinmen Mbanta a neighboring villga . He has a problem so he needs to be sent away. After that he got his house burned down by the men and people of Umuoifia.He has learned alot off things in the past.
When getting ready to come back to Umuofia I feel as though Okonkwo has changed coparing to when we first start reading.I feel this way because on his last night in his mothers homeland he had a big feast for the people. Not only that he believed in god after he begun to believe in himself and take pride in what he did.
After he got sent awat he got back to his moms homeland . Every one started to be unhappy to see him. The only one that accepted him was his uncle. I think his name was Uchendu.

I think that Okonkwo has not changed as a result of his experience. Okonkwo is still an angry man that has a bad attitude. I believe this because when Okonkwo found out that his son had been interested in Christianity he tried to kill him. In the book it said that Okonkwo’s uncle said “leave that boy at once”. If Okonkwo’s family was not around I think Nwoye would have got choked to death.
I believe that Okonkwo will never change. I believe this because Okonkwo grew up with a warrior mentality. Okonkwo is an awfully violent man that nobody can change. I think that it will take a more extreme punishment than kicking him out of the tribe. In the book Okonkwo’s uncle also asked Okonkwo “are you mad”. I think Okonkwo’s uncle asked him this because he did not know what is wrong with Okonkwo.

Cast away can be interpeted in many different ways. However in Things Fall Apart Okonkwo being casted away is used as in dismissed of kicked out from a group or clan. Okonkwo was casted out because he had performed an accidental death. He was told he had to leave for seven years, and he did.
Okonkwo was sent to the land in which his mother came from. The land where she had been buried with her people. In Mbanta just beyond the borders of Mbanio. When he left they burned down his houses killed his animals and destroyed his barn. They did so because they were clensing the land.
Change can occur in differnt periods of time. In my opinion Okonkwo has changed.I think he has changed because he wasn't as up tight as he was in Umofia. I think that he understoood that the people of Mbanta really helped him a great deal. So he felt it in him to throw them a feast to show his grattitude, though he called it a bringing together of the kinsmen.
